Dr. Amy Daley
Board Certified in Clinical Psychology
Dr. Daley is a licensed psychologist who is board certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). Dr. Daley has been providing psychotherapy and testing to children and adults since 2005. She sees clients with a range of concerns. She has particular interests in the areas of women’s health and child development. Women’s health issues may include challenges with infertility, pregnancy, postpartum complications, adoption, parenting and menopause.
Education
Dr. Daley’s education includes a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College. After several years working in technology and finance, she returned to school and received her Ph.D. from City University of New York’s clinical psychology program. She completed an APA-accredited internship at Beth Israel Medical Center and a post-doctoral fellowship at the William Alanson White Institute. Dr. Daley gained extensive experience conducting psychological evaluations (testing) at the New York City Children’s Center – Queens campus.
Approach
Dr. Daley combines a psychodynamic orientation with an integrative approach. When indicated, she draws on techniques from cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and brief relational therapy (BRT).
